May…the wildness and warmth of God be in us

A Blessing for the Lenten Journey.

The Sundays in Lent are not counted in the 40 days of Lent. On the Sundays in Lent we will share words of blessing.

On the Third Sunday in Lent we share a “Pocket Prayer of Blessing.” The idea behind these pocket prayers is that the booklet can be carried in your pocket and brought into use whenever the occasion presents itself. Here is a blessing that can be used in a group setting (where two or more are gathered). I especially like the invitation of the blessing that “the wildness and the warmth of God, be in us.” Amen. May it be so.  –Fr. Dan

May the blessing of God,
the eternal goodwill of God,
the shalom of God,
the wildness and the warmth of God,
be in us,
be among us and
between us, now and always.
